- Run for the Kids 2007 -

What is it?

   Each year since 1998, the Kappa Deuteron Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta at the University of Georgia and the Gamma Tau Chapter at Georgia Tech have collaborated to run a football between Athens, Georgia and Atlanta, Georgia for the annual Georgia-Georgia Tech football game on Thanksgiving weekend. Approximately fifty brothers from both chapters will be collaborating to carry the game ball the seventy-four miles between the two colleges. This year, the football will be carried to Bobby Dodd Stadium at Georgia Tech on November 24, 2007.

Why do we run so far?

   The Fiji Run for the Kids is a fundraising effort, with 100% of the money raised going to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is a not-for-profit organization that benefits from philanthropic and volunteer support. They ensure healthcare to children from all walks of life, and provided more than $81 million in care to patients at their hospitals in 2006. More info on the cause.

Yeah, but what's in it for me?

   Depending on your donation, your gift will be honored at one of the six Sponsorship Levels: Brotherhood Donor, Run Donor, Kid's Donor, Children's Donor, Children's All-Star Donor, or Hope & Will Donor. You contribution ensures visibility and recognition on the Georgia Tech campus. You will also be seen throughout the Atlanta community through t-shirts, online presence, event publications, press releases, and a game day presentation on the field.

Sounds Great! How can I get inovlved?

   Giving is easy! Go to the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Donation Website and enter your gift amount. Select "Fiji Run for the Kids" as your *Gift Designation* and click Continue where you will be asked for Billing Information. Your donation will automatically be forwarded to our account with Children's Heathcare of Atlanta and you will have that warm feeling that comes from helping children.
