Biography

Walker Brown (He/Him) is a BS/MS Honors Aerospace Engineering student at Georgia Tech, where he is completing both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees with an expected graduation in 2026. Currently a Graduate Research Assistant in the School of Aerospace Engineering, Walker conducts research for NASA Techleaps Prize projects, focusing on microgravity fluid and bubble dynamics as well as neutral buoyancy fluid systems that serve as analogs for space environments.

His professional experience includes serving as a Flight Test Engineering Intern at Hermeus, where he supported the company’s first Mk1 hypersonic flight test campaign, authored technical test plans, and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety and telemetry protocols. He also worked as an engineer on the Europa Clipper mission with the University of Texas Institute for Geophysics, contributing to planetary science and mission design efforts. Earlier, he honed his technical skills as a Propulsion Engineer for the Yellow Jacket Space Program and as a teacher with Code Ninjas, where he shared his passion for technology and problem-solving with younger students.

Beyond his academic and professional pursuits, Walker is actively involved in Georgia Tech’s community through leadership, cheer and spirit, and professional societies such as Sigma Gamma Tau. With a strong foundation in research, systems engineering, and flight testing, he is eager to continue advancing aerospace technology and is pursuing full-time opportunities in the aerospace industry.
